Forest of Dean Dog Rescue is a community based Registered Charity run by a small group of dedicated Trustees. We are supported entirely by volunteers and financed by donations and fundraising activities. We have a very active Fundraising Committee who work tirelessly to raise funds to cover medical and other expenses.

We do not have kennels or a rescue shelter, our dogs are cared for in Foster homes where they are carefully assessed and their individual needs are met. This means we get to know our dogs well and puts us in a good position to carefully match dogs with potential new homes. In times of emergency we make use of boarding facilities at a local kennel until a fosterer becomes available.

As a matter of course, all our dogs are vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and given appropriate veterinary parasite treatments.
